Herriman High Record Holder in the 3200m (9:17.63) and the 2000m Steeplechase (6:12.32)

4th in the 3200m at State

Qualified for Nationals in the 2000m Steeple.

4:24 in the 1600m

Team was Runner-Up in Track.

  • Be top 5 on the team at every meet
  • Top 6 at the WAC Championships (Got injured the week of Conference so couldn't finish)
  • Top 30 at the XC Regional Race (Still injured with a stress fracture) 
  • Do my best at every meet

AM- Woke up and ran up to the lake and did two loops around it then ran home.

PM- Went on an easy 6 mile run with Nelson and Jaydn up to the grass fields at Scera Park and then went and iced.

PM- Warmup to the Mountain View Track for about a mile and a half and then did some idiot drills and striders. Our splits were ranged from 5:18-4:48 and we were supposed to be faster on everyone of them but after the first 2 mile repeats I was already dead and my hamstrings were trashed so I took my shoes off and did the last 3 barefoot. My splits were between 5:05-5:25 but I didn't keep track of them. Cooled down back to the WAC and then got ice/stim on my hamstrings.

PM- 1.5 to Lakeside then 3 on the grass barefoot then 1.5 back to the WAC and then I went and took an Ice Bath.

PM-  6 Broken 1200s at the cemetary. Worst workout so far, I am struggling in staying with the team. I need to drink more water, stretch better, and eat better food. After the workout I headed over to Murray and watched the High School Invite and saw Kramer out kick Connor for the win then headed up to Brigham City for Peach Days.

AM- Woke up at 6:30 and went over to start of the Peach Days road race with my grandpa who was running it. I wanted to get a nice easy recovery so I decided to go out with the chase pack because an old USU alumni was there and was going for the record so I didn't want to kill myself when I wasn't even registered. I ran a pretty consistent run and moved from like 7th to 2nd and pretty much jogged it in the last bit. I got some Powerade and then headed back a mile against the course to go run with my grandpa and give him some to drink.
